It seems pretty well known that 20 minutes after you quit smoking, your heart rate and blood pressure begins to drop to near normal levels. Anti-quitting campaigns/groups has used this fact as a support for cessation for many, many years.


That's all they say, which is all well and good, however the life cycle of quitting smoking is a lot more uncomfortable than just the first twenty minutes of your blood pressure dropping; which I think we all know.


There's also more to those statistics than we unfortunately don't want to know, but need to know. The fact is that after two hours of quitting, the full and intense cigarette withdrawals starts to come on, and come on fast.

So what do you do? Well, like posted the other day on the first part of this blog, "Combating the Uncomfortable Part of Quitting," you need to realize (and this is just an opinion) what discomfort feels like and try to understand that discomfort is just that; discomfort. Discomfort doesn't force you to do anything you don't want to do.


Secondly, and this is just my advice, start to vape juices that cater to your needs and your cessation method. Tell your own story!! What do I mean when I say that? Well, if you are a person that thinks that a tobacco flavor will tempt you to pick up a cigarette, then choose something else! If you feel like fruit is a flavor that you can't handle, go through reviews (like All The Juices or reviews on our site) to see what nutty flavors or less sweet flavors will help you! There are tons of flavors out there to meet every vaper's needs. You just have to find it!


Ask questions! If you feel as if you are panicking and/or sinking, please reach out. None of us want anyone to go back to smoking. Many of us have our, "juice that helped us quit," or our, "set up that helped us quit," so feel free to ask the  community. There are many forums online that have people that are willing to help; even if you just feel like venting, we are here!


I don't want to scare the people from quitting... On the contrary. I feel like all of these uncomfortable aspects can be combated with the simple answer of vaping. Big Tobacco doesn't have a community of helpful people that care about you, they don't offer healthier options, and they sure don't want you to quit.


Vaping not only takes the edge off of the symptoms, but there is a huge community that is here to help you. And if you can see the tons of people who have actually quit using vaping as their platform, then I think that will also give you some hope as well. Keep your chin up and stay strong! You can do this!!
